What is my comic about?
The comic strip that I had produced is about the ancestor worship which is commonly seen during the Chinese Ghost Festival. It is a festival based on the belief that deceased family members have a continued existence. Activities during the month would include preparing ritualistic food offerings, burning incense, and burning joss paper, material items such as clothes, gold and other goods. Many people today have misconception about this practise and also criticizes it as an act of polluting the environment. Thus, through my comic, I hope that people would understand the significant of such culture that the Chinese had practised since more than one century ago.

My reflection of this project:
In my opinion, racial harmony is very important. In the past, there were racism which results into riots and disputes. We have to learn from the past mistakes to lead a better future. In order to obtain racial harmony, we have to respect the different religions and cultures. Racism and discrimination should never happen in Singapore, a multi-racial society. This is the idea that I tried to potray through my 'comic'. This project had given me a great chance to learn and understand other religions and cultures. Even now, some misunderstanding still happens due to the lack of understanding of the other culture, everyone can learn if they try to. This is potrayed in my comic as my storyline depict a person that learnt about the Chinese culture of burning incense and offerings to the dead during certain chinese festivals. Throughtout this project, I enjoyed myself most during the stage where I came up with my comic drawing and coloring. The difficulty that I had met was that I had forgotten the submission dateline and had to rush through it the last minute. For improvement, I would suggest more time for the project.

1. Do not show or give away your personal information to unknown people.
2. Do not post hurting or nasty comments about other people.
3. Do not meet strangers you had known online as they might be bad people.
